SIMBA

This was a shoot planned and executed for Simba, a beer brand based in Raipur. Simba is rooted in celebrating Indian

culture and championing homegrown voices, and that spirit really shaped the styling and direction of the shoot. Titled

'People of The Jungle', the shoot reimagined Indian youth through a rooted, raw lens. The goal was to present

Indian street-culture not as borrowed or referenced, but as defining.

I was part of the direction and planning for this two-day shoot, and it was the first time I got to be so involved in something

of this scale. Being that hands-on was honestly a game changer for me. From setting up lights and managing the set, to

working closely with the stylist, makeup artist, photographer, and models (and of course my amazing co-directors), I loved

every bit of helping bring the vision to life. What made this experience even more special was how collaborative it was. None

of us had tons of set experience going in, but we leaned on each other and figured it out together. It pushed me to take

ownership, think on my feet, and really understand the nitty-gritty of how a shoot runs behind the scenes. I learned so

much from the process—and from the people around me.

In the end, we created something I’m incredibly proud of: a collection of photos and videos that celebrate desi culture and

reimagine street-culture in a way that feels fresh, grounded, and truly ours.

I'm currently only able to share the images that have been posted on the brand's account as I am under an NDA.

Let's get to
